If you’re planning a trip to Charlotte, North Carolina, be sure to check out NoDa, Charlotte’s historic arts, and entertainment district. Located in the old mill district, it is now home to restaurants, coffee shops, gift stores, and local microbreweries. One such is the NoDa Brewing Company.
Opened in the spring of 2011 by Suzie and Tom Ford, with the expertise of master brewer Chad Henderson, NoDa Brewing Company has won gold medal awards for best beer with its IPA Gold, Hop Drop N’ Roll, the NoDajito, and the Gordgeous as well as a silver medal for the Maibock Lager. Their meticulous attention to detail ensures that every beer tastes delicious and is consistent with their high standards. They offer year-round beers, seasonal beers, and specialty IPAs as well as limited release brews and spiked seltzers.
Award-Winning Craft Beer
NoDa has three locations. The North End location is home to NoDa Brewing Company’s production facility as well as a beer garden with corn hole games, disc golf putting, and regularly scheduled live music. There’s also the OG, the original location on N. Davidson which has recently been given a swanky renovation, currently closed. In addition, there is a NoDa location in the Charlotte Douglas Airport at Concourse A North, where you can try any one of 11 beers and a grab-and-go meal.
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, you can take a group tour of the brewery. The tour lasts roughly 45 minutes and takes you through the entire brewing process so you can see, smell, and feel the hops and watch the process of creating the perfect beverage. In addition, NoDa Brewing Company is available for reserved parties, with private and semi-private options, and an on-site food truck, The Tin Kitchen, for your guests’ dining pleasure. Check out the NoDA Brewing Company the next time you’re in Charlotte.
